WebCalendar [Tue Apr 26, 2005]

WebCalendar is an online multi-user event scheduling and day planner system. Users can create accounts, login, add events to their calendars, and share events with other users. Support for different time zones is also major feature, and allows users to view events in their local time, regardless of what time zone they may have been added from.

I started the WebCalendar project in September 2004 as a way of teaching myself some PHP and database skills. The idea for the project came from a friend of mine, who was fed up with other calendar solutions and wanted something fast, simple, and accessible anywhere. Since then, through use in several school projects, I have enhanced WebCalendar to the point where it is at least semi-useful as a personal organizational tool.

Below you can see some screenshots of WebCalendar, as well as a functional demo you can try yourself. Please note that account creation has been disabled for the demo, but that two generic accounts are available. 'demo1' is in GMT-8:00 (west coast), and 'demo2' is in GMT-5:00 (east coast), so an event added by demo1 at 5:00pm will show up at 8:00pm for demo2.
